Yeah, do appreciate the feedback. However I'm writing to rexplain the reason why I'm not following that advise... the intention to let these discussions be done openly is not to confuse others, but to allow such information be available freely so that everyone can gain new insights and wisdoms.
If people fear engaging in such topics because they appear obscure in the beginning, then they will not be able to learn or progress.

For me, I only do chanting practises so of course I don't get any insights from chanting as chanting is more of calming the mind and not on insights.
If in the future I do breathing meditation or self inquiry/ zen koans. I should be reading such stuff.

Not necessarily chanting means you shouldn't understand emptiness etc.
And developing insights doesn't mean you can't chant... you can still chant, but further than that you also start contemplating in your direct experience what your true nature is.
It doesn't have to be a fixed form of practice like sitting meditation. Nowadays, I don't do sitting meditation... I haven't sat for about 2 months ever since I enlisted. Yet I am still having further insights... (but not sitting regularly also has its cons: my mind is not as stable as when I do regular sittings..)
Contemplation isn't about the 'form' of practice... it's about looking in your direct experience right now, and discovering the truth and nature of your being.
I still practice chanting nowadays, sometimes, to keep calm (especially since I don't have much time to sit).. though it is not my main practice..
Btw, if people like Pure Landers should not contemplate on the deeper topics of dharma, like Emptiness, Buddha-Nature, etc, then why would Master Chin Kung study so much of the sutras... and why Sinweiy seems to be quite knowledgeable even though he is a pure lander?

The interest havent arise yet. In the future if it arises then I might be interested.
Y do u still have further insights because u maintain awareness in ur BMT/everyday life? As long as one have awareness, Jue, insight can arise.
Some ppl became enlightened out of sitting meditation activities.

It's normal. Even I cannot maintain mindfulness all the time. :)

I see.
But I heard Fashi saying Shui Wen Ru Guan.
Means getting insights/awakening/realisation when reciting sutra.
The practitioner grasp the meaning of the sutra suddenly.
It may be small or great awakening.

When the conditions are ripe for insight, it will definitely happen... like Hui Neng. Usually though, a person has to have contemplated on it for quite some time.
