  There are three key activities in the practice of Vajrakilaya ritual:

  1. Performing Vajrakilaya Puja with Mandala – for removal of obstacles
  2. Performing Fire Puja of Vajrakilaya
  3. Torma Throwing

  This time we are doing the Vajrakilaya Puja with Sand Mandala from 19 – 26 September as the Main Event for the first time. We are also performing the Torma Throwing (Gutor) on the 29th day of the 8th Lunar month (4 Oct – 6 Oct). 
  
  For more understanding of GUTOR, here are some terms of explanation:

  1. Every monastery in Tibet performs TORDAK which means Torma (for TOR) Repelling (for DAK). So Monasteries perform Torma throwing to repel obstacles.
  2. When Tordak rituals are performed on 29th of the Lunar Month, it is called GUTOR. So GUTOR, the Obstacles Cleansing Ritual must be performed at a specific date.
  3. When GUTOR rituals are performed by Monasteries on 29th day of the 12th Lunar month, it is called "GLUCHEN" or the Big Knife ritual. Our Centre performs The Vajrakilaya GUTOR yearly on the 29th day of the 12th Lunar Month as the 4th Main Event of the Centre.
