Soka Gakkai don't chant lotus sutra, they only chant Namu Myoho Renge Kyo, as far as I know.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daimoku
Nam Myh Renge Ky (無妙法蓮經, also, in some schools Namu Myh Renge Ky; Devotion to the Law of the Lotus Flower Scripture) is a mantra that is chanted as the central practice of all forms of Nichiren Buddhism. The mantra is referred to as Daimoku (題目, title; also, in some schools, O-daimoku: 題目) and was first revealed by the Japanese Buddhist teacher Nichiren on the 28th day of the fourth lunar month of AD 1253 at Kiyomizu-dera (also, Seichji) near Kominato in current-day Chiba, Japan. The practice of chanting the daimoku is called shdai (唱題). The purpose of chanting daimoku is to attain perfect and complete awakening (enlightenment).
As Nichiren explained the mantra in his "Ongi Kuden" (御義傳), a transcription of his lectures on the Lotus Sutra, Namu or Nam (無) derives from the Sanskrit namas, whereas Myh Renge Ky is the Japanese pronunciation of the Chinese title of the Lotus Sutra in the translation by Kumrajīva (hence, daimoku).
Nam(u) is used in Buddhism as a prefix expressing the taking of refuge in a Buddha or similar object of veneration. In Nam(u) Myh Renge Ky, it represents devotion or conviction in the Mystic Law of Life as expounded in the Lotus Sutra, not merely as one of many scriptures, but as the ultimate teaching of Buddhism, particularly with regard to Nichiren's interpretation.
The Lotus Sutra is held by Nichiren Buddhists, as well as practitioners of the Chinese Tiantai (also, T'ien T'ai) and corresponding Japanese Tendai sects, to be the culmination ofShakyamuni Buddha's 50 years of teaching. These schools view the phrase MyÅhÅ Renge KyÅ as the distillation of the entire sutra—for them, all the sutra's teachings are summarized in its title. By extension, followers of Nichiren Buddhism also consider MyÅhÅ Renge KyÅ to be the name of the ultimate law permeating the universe.
Broken down, Myh Renge Ky consists of Myh (妙法), "sublime," "unfathomable" or "mystic" law, the Dharma underlying all phenomena; Renge (蓮), the Lotus Flower, which blooms and bears seeds at the same time and therefore signifies cause and effect; and Ky (經, "thread passing all the way through a bolt of cloth", but also "scripture"), meaning a teaching of the Buddha.
The seven characters na-mu-my-h-ren-ge-ky are written down the centre of the Gohonzon, the mandala venerated by most Nichiren Buddhists.
Precise interpretations of Nam(u)-Myh-Renge-Ky, how it is pronounced, and its position in Buddhist practice differ slightly among the numerous schools and sub-sects of Nichiren Buddhism, but "I take refuge in (devote or submit myself to) Myh Renge Ky" might serve as a universal translation.

No, our forum doesn't recognise soka gakkai. Nichiren shu is more mainstream. Soka gakkai is not considered mainstream buddhism whether locally or in Japan. They have different three refuges and I consider their teachings to be deviated.
Thanks for ur help AEN.

I agree karma wouldn't make much sense if there is only one life. However, in Buddhism we have countless lives. Not only Buddha, but countless practitioners can testify karma and rebirth. Our moderator simpo_ talked about tracing current life experience to karma from past lives and can testify how accurate karma is and the importance of five precepts. He also have very vivid past life memories through meditation.
Is there a way to experience and find out what is one's past life?

Yes. Either you enter into deep meditation, or you go for past life hypnosis. Buddhism only teaches deep meditation.

You should learn meditation from a qualified meditation teacher if possible.
The basics would be to practice anapanasati meditation, breathing mindfulness. But don't think about remembering past lives so soon... your aim should be to get enlightened, not remember past lives. But remembering past lives is possible once you mastered samadhi.

Hi Eternal Now
Thanks for the great explanation on the
å—æ— å¦™æ³•èŽ²åŽç» and the related organisation such as Soka Gakkai.
Although I am neither a member of Soka nor Shoshu , I do understand that they do practice reciting Lotus Sutra but they will recite extract of chapter 2 & 16 and with lots of Daimoku. As it is view as the KEY teaching of the whole lotus sutra. Whereas the Nichiren Shu sect will recite the 2 chapter together with the rest of 26 Chapter. As we view every chapter is of EQUAL importance, each complement one another.
For lay person during our home regular practice, we will recite the 2 Chapter like Soka peers however we are encourage to recite the rest on our own basis when our schedule permit. If you notice, such practice has a parrallel with our Chinese Buddhism when we place a lot of emphasis on the Chapter 25 Guan Yin Universal Door,"妙法蓮經觀世音薩普門". Therefore, lot of people will associate Lotus Sutra with the saving power of Guan Yin which is expedite mean方便 instead of the key message of Lotus Sutra which is, "Every senient being has the potential to be a Buddha." Of course, I believe Guan Yin through his wonderous way still able to guide senient beings to the key message.
No doubt there are doctrinal and practice differences between Soka and the mainstream buddhism but they has make great contribution by bring Lotus Sutra to the west which result in the renewal interest in the this Sutra. For every positive deed Soka has planted through goodwill, I would praise them for it. For every positive effect, that is waiting to bear fruit in due time, I would wait and see.
I shall end this, with Tina Turner interview http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=85dJoS7401g&feature=channel

In that case I would like to ask something as well. I recently brought a game called warioware DIY, where you can create games and comics and share them with people online.
Will I be creating bad karma?
