Letters from God of Death (死神的信）

  I have just heard an interesting and meaningful story. This story is about an old man and a young man who had just passed away. Followings were the conversation between the old man and the God of Death.

  Old Man : "You should at least inform me in advance or give me some warnings that you are coming to get me."

  God of Death : " I did inform you. I had written many letters to you but you did not read them and take them seriously."

  Old Man : "No, I did not receive any letters from you."

  God of Death : " Didn't you notice that your hair was turning grey, your eye sight was failing and your teeth were dropping. Those were the letters that I wrote to you."

  Upon hearing their conversation, the young man protested.

  Young Man : "Then, what about me ? My hair wasn't turning grey, my eyesight wasn't failing and my teeth weren't dropping. You did not inform me or give me warnings that you will be coming to get me."

  God of Death : " I did write letters to you too. Didn't you notice young people and children around you were dying young ? Those were the letters I wrote to you but you too did not read them and take them seriously."

  This letter is stating the truth on the longevity of each and individual living beings. This truth also sent another signal that one's ought to treasure this short lifespan by exploring and dealing in meaningful, compassionate and peace activities so as to benefit others and helping ourselves to achieve liberation for the cycles as stated in 死神的信 :)
