"The
essence of Buddha's teachings is the truth. It is the purpose of
Buddha's teachings to remove our ignorance and introduce us the truth.
For this reason, Buddha gave so many teachings to so many sentient
beings, but these all are based on one truth.
The
puja is a part of meditation. When we do pujas, we have to visualize
and meditate as we read in the books. When we perform ritual dances, we
also need to visualize and meditate according to tantras. So actually,
monastery is a center for meditation and institute is a center for
studies, but we build retreat centers to concentrate more on the
meditation.
"You
can go to any buddhist masters to receive teachings. Doesn't matter
whether that master belongs to Kagyu, Gelug or Nyingma. Because, what
you are looking for is the teaching, not the lineage. "
When
one is strongly attached to something or some one, one can meditate on
it's nature so that one can transform the attachment into meditation by
the means of concentration
One
can choose whether one should emphasize meditating on view or
visualization. But it necessary to practice both of them in our daily
practice.
