Robes Offering to Sangha 供养袈裟

  In conjunction with the anniversary of Lord Gampopa on 25th July 2010 Sunday, we are organizing robes offering to the invited monks of the 3 Yanas and Lamas at Jangchub Choeling Monastery as well as Anis at Tarpa Choeling Nunnery.

  It is said that by offering robes to the Sangha, one could accumulate immeasurable merits. To date, the Theravada Tradition still practises the Kathina Robes Offering to the Sangha as one of the important merit-making events for devotees. The teaching says that a devotee who offers the Kathina robe would gain the following five beneficial results like the Sangha:

  1. They can travel everywhere without coming across dangers;
  2. Their garments can be obtained effortlessly;
  3. Whatever food consumed by them would yield only benefits to the body without incurring any harm;
  4. They will enjoy abundant possessions; and
  5. Their property will always be secured and not be destroyed by fire or water, confiscated by authorities, stolen or fall into the hands of the unworthy.

  The robe offering to the invited monks includes gifts and devotees may donate any amount towards this act. To enable as many devotees to participate in this meritorious event and gain immeasurable merits for the practice of enlightenment, each person is limited to offer one set of robe to Lamas and Anis at the cost of $50. Rejoice!

  为了迎接法主冈波巴的圆寂周年纪念日(7月25日), 我们正在筹办供养袈裟给当日所邀请的三乘僧伽(大乘和�传法师,和金刚�波切和喇嘛)��于尼泊尔江矗措林寺院的喇嘛�塔巴措林尼庵的尼师们。

  �典上记载,通过供养袈裟给僧伽,�以积累��衡�的广大功德利益。现今,�传佛教还�留�结��供养袈裟给结�僧伽的传统,以便为信众们造就一个累�功德的殊胜机缘。而供养袈裟将获得以下五�和僧伽一样的功德利益:

  1. 无论他们去何处都�会�到�险
  2. 能容易的获�衣物
  3. 所食用的任何食物,都�会产生任何伤害
  4. 他们�以拥有许多资具�用
  5. 他们的财物将�会被�或水摧��政府没收�被�盗或�入�应拥有的人的手中

  为了让更多的信众都能�与这项殊胜的活动,以累计��衡�的善根功德,寺院的喇嘛�尼庵尼师的袈裟,�个人��于供养一套。�套S$50。然而信众则��缘��供养邀请僧伽的袈裟�礼包。善哉!
