Championship Manager 99/00 - Tactics and Players

Hi all, I'm a CM fan, and like to share my tactics with fellow forumites, and also some players that come cheap and good.
I used a 4-3-1-2 formation, with the 2 full-backs doing forward runs. All 3 midfielders are centre midfielders, with 2 of them running right and left when going for attack. The support role also hv forward run. I use Short passing with Pressing on.
Recommended players(Cheap and good!):
Swedish: Shabel Touma(AM/F,L), Patric Andersson(F,C), Kennedy Bakacioglu(AM/F,RLC)
English: Michael Duff(D/DM,R), Scott Huckerby(AM,RL)
Icelandic: Gudnason,Liverpool(S,C), Andrei Sigporrson(S,C)
Seirra Leone: Kabba Samura(S,C)
Others: Martin Rowland(AM), Dean Keates(DM), Roy Carroll(GK).
Hope all of you can share with me their good signings and tactics.

Anway... me using the formation: 3-1-2-1-3
3 defenders... (1 RB, 1 CB & 1 LB)
1 Defensive midfielder...
2 midfielders...
1 playmaker...
3 strikers.... ( hahhaha... me kiasu right! )
Well... this formation was recommended by my friend... & it seems to work fine.
Me using Liverpool... & my owen scores abt 80 goals in a season !!!!

Owen really did.
Me put him at the central Striker position in my abovementioned formation.
Sure to score !!!
But ... dun really depends on the other two strikers for goals.
Fowler only scores abt 20 per season.

I was wondering how come any formation I used for away matches will eventually lead to a loss. I tried almost all, anyone fear away matches? I will always be conceeded first followed by free flowing goals...

Don't attempt to do a formation first....try to make a formation specially for ur players ....it all depends on what clubs u r using..and usually if u run into a series of bad results u r more prone to losing...choosing a player for a position u have to look in diff aspects ...for example...for a winger u have to choose someone with gd crossing..if u play a formation with less midfielders for example 3 midfileders liek dat choose some with gd tackling or else when opponent counter or something like dat will easily kanna overun

try 4-1-2-1-2,anchor-man arrow pointing back, support-man arrow forward. Pretty defensive, but works for any team, any division... I manage to get Peterborough to the Premier League by the fourth season.
If u r using a club that starts off quite well financially(for me i usually use newcastle.
). Make sure u get ur hands on kennedy bakacioglu, mads jorgenson, andri sigporrson, joe cole... they r good value for money, except for joe cole(8-11m). But it's money well spend, as u will have all the firepower u need for the coming seasons... joe cole is a MUST buy, create miracle in the supporting role.
I do have problem getting decent defenders initially. My advice is to keep track of rio ferdinand, gareth barry, paul robinson, seth johnson, johnathan woodgate, watch out for release clause or unhappy player. With a bit of luck, should be able to get them by the second season.
Recommended keepers: espen johnson, mattias asper, mike tyler

Bayern rules, I just won 3 titles in my first season (German champs, Champ. Leauge, German cup), I play 4-3-1-2, just buy Saviola, Figo, Nowotny, Mads Jørgensen and Rui Costa. I ended up having scored 111 goals and ony 13 went in on me (that was in the german leauge, and I didn´t loose a game)

I managed Bayerb and got a double, but then i only bought 1 player. I spent 10 m on im but was good. I didnt win the League cup because i had nobody upfield that was good. Elber was on International duty. I only used a 4-2-2-2. 4 Defenders, 2 Midfielders, 2 Wingers and 2 strikers
