Hi! I would like to know which Catholic Church in Singapore has the most conducive environment for praise and worshipping with friendly and warm parishioners? I have been attending St. Ignatius Church for the past few years and don't find the place comfortable as I don't feel very connected to the church environment which is filled with so many affluent parishioners . Can someone recommend me a more suitable catholic church ?
Holy Family cos I've a Uncle as a Priest there haha. But OLPS not but alot celebrity. Sometime got Pierre Png and his wife, of sometimes will see Silyva
have not encounter any decent priest in Singapore yet........they have yet to "Live" so most of them are boring.
What's a priest ? I am ignorant in roman catholism.
there are no "best" or whatever...
worship the Lord, not go there to look at the people...
and arapahoe, try not to show your ignorance coz priests are people with time off to do stuff they are interested in like go to the movies, go makan with friends and family, stuff like that...
wow, The Bear is the mod here.
I have been around Roman Catholic churches though did not visit long enough to tell which one is the best. Basically , in any religious worship place as long as you feel comfortable and have the peace in your heart it is a place to consider to stay on.
Holy Family, Church of the Risen Christ, Cathedral of the Good Shepherd. Many churches have a lot of rich people attending.
The Church of the Risen Christ is open to charismatic movement. I find their prayer room very serene, a very conducive place for prayer/meditation.

oh don't get me wrong i am not referring to the structure of the chruch nor their personal life styles or personal interest.....i understand they are human being....and they have their own lifes.
I was referring to their sermon.....I have yet to encounter any priest in Singapore who can throw away the bible and articulate teaching into life experiences.
i did enjoy a few priest few years ago...if i remember correctly a few names....
Rev Fr. Robert Balhetchet , both Ambrose and Eugene Vaz.

Yeah, some priests can be a tad long-winded, but I find that many of them speak from the heart, though prob not in the most entertaining manner. Anyway, I suppose Mass is about coming together to reflect on His word and to worship the Lord, not to be entertained

In one line, a person called by God to be His representative and shepherd here on earth to tend to His flock.
This is mainly done throught the Holy Mass and the Sacraments.

but sometime we can only blame ourselved singaporean don;t believe in priesthood we get what we don't give.
That's the way it generally is with parishioners in Singapore - people who aren't involved in the ministries don't often get involved in the parish community. However, no one will open up to you unless you do it first, so get to know a few familiar faces first. I like the music arrangements for Sunday Mass at Good Shepherd. It inspires, though prayer is largely between you and God.
got "best" one meh ? .... I thought most people would go to the one most convenient for them ?
I go to St Joseph BT cos It's just down the road from my house.

angsanana tree reminds me of the science textbook of pri school.
nativity church at hougang not bad, got neighbourly feel and the young crowd there seems quite friendly.
churches in katong and bukit batok are frequented by the rich. but then again, there's no material rich or poor in the eyes of god :)
