Help! I am new here and I am a non-Catholic. I took the Holy Communion when I was in primary school and I was also not a Catholic, because I was not sure whether I should have taken. What do I do now? Will I perish in Hell?
Don't panic! You didn't know what you were doing at that time, so there is no problem. You are not going to burn in hell, I assure you.
Were you from a Catholic primary school by the way?
Yes. But I have committed four mortal sins!
hmm.. i don't know how catholics take the communion, but do they like brief abit what the communion is etc?
like for my church we will explain what the communion is, and it's only for members of the church etc.
but.. while it is true that if you take the communion in an unworthy manner, you're sinning against the body of Christ, i guess it's ok because you didn't know. now you know, so, don't make the same mistake lor. =)
it's good to find out more.
i'm not catholic btw.
so with regards to the consuming of communion, both sides we agree that you partook without understanding, so it's excusable. but next time it isn't, now that you know the truth that you're not to take it in an unworthy manner. in fact, if you're not a christian, you aren't suppose to partake it.

Well, he only said he wasn't Catholic.

shrugs, if he's a christian, why should he feel guilty about taking the communion? we're asked to take it regularly wat.
so if he is, means he don't know what the communion is about, means he's not a christian.
Not all Christians believe in receiving communion, mind you. You being a protestant, I would expect you to know that. In his case, he could be a Christian who doesn't take communion, and believes it to be restricted to Catholics only.
He doesn't know what communion is about, therefore he is not Christian? What kind of deduction is that? How about I say I don't know about the laws of thermodynamics, therefore I am not a science student? Christians may or may not know about Communion, and non-Christians can also know or not know about communion. It is not exclusive knowledge. Furthermore, the fact that he knows he is not supposed to receive communion is proof that he does indeed know something about communion.
There is a wee problem, because of the power that is vested in the priest to transubstantiate the bread and wine into the real body and blood of Christ. One is suppose to affirm that when, before giving the Host, the communion minister says, "The Body of Christ."
He probably feels that what he did was inappropriate in the light of that information, but as the others said, he was ignorant back then and that is forgivable.
I have surfed porn and masturbated. Mistake there, it was three, not four. At that time when the communion was being held, the pastor said that only Catholics can take the communion. Non-catholics are not allowed. But one of my friends told me that I can take. So I just took. That was deliberate, am I right?

Your friend was wrong, so you are safe.

Your friend was wrong, so it's not your fault.
Still, I am impressed with the respect you have for Holy Communion when many Catholics hardly care. You will do well one day.
I am going to convert to Catholicism next year, haha. Yes, I used to look forward to the Masses in school where we had to take the Communion. :D

You can sign up for RCIY at a parish near you (let us know which street you live on if you aren't sure), they should be starting right now, if they haven't already begun.
