well, the Traditional Latin Mass can be recited or sung. so if its a low-profile mass, yes there is no singing

Today's Mass was wonderful! We had the Youth Choir from the Church of St Francis Xavier in attendance, and they sang the Post-Communion beautifully.
Ah, we had Epiphany Water, Blessed Chalk and Myrrh too. -

Its quite a pity they have to sing all the cheapo "liturgical music" at their regular Masses (SFX Saturday Evening). They can certainly do much more. -

come to Sts Peter and Paul Church on Sunday 13 Jan at 5.45 pm for Vespers and Mass with Gregorian Chant (according to the 2002 roman missal) -
Please also try to come on 16 Jan at 7.30 pm. The way things are now, that's your last chance this year to attend a legal Tridentine Mass in Singapore.
Obviously, most people would not recommend attending illegal tridentine masses. The singing sucks at that place anyway

Yes I was there on a couple of occasions. However, I realised that is not a good place at all. It is lots of factors - not just the illegal masses. I know people who, having spent some time there, refuse to go back there again.Originally posted by Icemoon:Hmm .. how come you know so much?

You can certainly go there out of curiosity, but bear in mind that any new faces will be immediately pounced upon
However, like I said, I don't encourage anyone to attend Masses there. There are simply too many bad things about that place, many of which are not immediately apparent. -

I like mixing with different denominations of Christians. I have no taboo, I go to different services. If you talk about Protestants, they don't even want to go to services conducted by other churches. I think this is very sad, 'cos different denominations have different things to offer. As you probably know, I have love for the Jewish faith. And by attending Catholic events, I could see the 'vestigal' traditions passed down from Judaism. So they have readings from the Torah over the whole year. You guys have it too, one from the OT and one from the NT? Protestants don't have it. So Catholics can rightfully claim that every Catholic is reading the same thing all over the world on a particular Sunday, just like the Jews
And by attending the Tridentine, I could see what Christian service (Mass) is and should be - the sacrifice of Christ. In comparison, the holy communion is dumbed down in Protestant churches, and communion in mega churches seems like a joke to me.
they wear veil? even during the Jan Tridentine, I don't see young girls wearing veil leh. Mostly older women.

Actually how many Tridentine Masses did FFSP conduct in Singapore? So far I've attended three in three different churches, did I miss out any? -
