Gospel opens to the Gentile

Jesus was born & brought up in a Jewish community. His parents are Jews and he rec'd jewish ritual when he was born (similar to Christian infant baptism). But in his prophecy and even materialised that he would be rejected by his own people.
Is that the reason why he reached out his gosepl to the non Jew?

I don't think God wants all of us to go to hell, though we be gentiles.
Still, that doesn't explain why all those people had to die in the OT. -
The OT already says that the faith is for all nations.

Like Protestants like to say, when the tablets were given, 3000 died. When Jesus was resurrected, 3000 believed.
