Tabernacle. Main Altar when Blessed Sacrament is exposed on it.

well both are acceptable, although genuflecting upon entry was more prevalent until recently. the practice of genuflecting at the pews probably came about because people genuflecting at the entrance probably created something of a traffic jam, causing a worry amongst the more faithful parishoners, who decided to postpone their genuflection until they reached their pew. either that, or the priest requested them to do so.
