  Dear Friends-in-Christ,
  
  Our Holy Father, Pope Benedict XVI said recently in his apostolic exhortation, "Sacramentum Caritatis",
  
  “I desire, in accordance with the request advanced by the Synod Fathers, that Gregorian chant be suitably esteemed and employed as the chant proper to the Roman liturgy … nor should we forget that the faithful can be taught to recite the more common prayers in Latin, and also to sing parts of the liturgy to Gregorian chant.”
  
  Thus, here are the liturgical events for this month, and do try to join us if you can. Translations will be provided for all events.

  " The beauty of the liturgy is part of this mystery; it is a sublime expression of God's glory and, in a certain sense, a glimpse of heaven on earth. ... Beauty, then, is not mere decoration, but rather an essential element of the liturgical action, since it is an attribute of God himself and his revelation. These considerations should make us realize the care which is needed, if the liturgical action is to reflect its innate splendour."

  Dear Friends-in-Christ,
  
  "The chief element of divine worship must be interior. For we must always live in Christ and give ourselves to Him completely, so that in Him, with Him and through Him the heavenly Father may be duly glorified. The sacred liturgy requires, however, that both of these elements be intimately linked with each another. This recommendation the liturgy itself is careful to repeat, as often as it prescribes an exterior act of worship. Thus we are urged, when there is question of fasting, for example, "to give interior effect to our outward observance." Otherwise religion clearly amounts to mere formalism, without meaning and without content."

  Hi,
  I'm just wondering whether this is the same with evening mass in SPP? Because the evening mass in SPP is around 4:30 pm I think. Or is this just right after that mass?

  Oh, this is a different Mass.
  
  The 4.30 mass ends at about 5.30. We start at 5.45 pm.

  Haiya, only 33 - 35 people showed up for the Mass .... even including the servers (all in black cassock) and singers, we didn't have 50 people.

  I just want to say that, if there are people out there who want these Masses to continue, please try your very best to make it part of your schedule! If not, falling attendance makes it easy for the plug to be pulled!
