It is a fight against the inversion of the hierarchy of values. At its core, it is about whether the Christian religion should bend the suit mankind, or whether mankind should bend to suit the requirements of the faith.
It is about Man made in the 'image and likeness of God' versus 'God made in the image and likeness of Man'.
Which side we choose will ultimately decide whether we will stand at the right or left hand of Christ when Matthew chapter 25 becomes a reality.
