Incidentally, some time ago, someone tried to organise a petition against Michael Schiavo, claiming that his diocese made a mistake in allowing him to receive the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony. The grounds were that he had procured the death of Terri Schiavo through the civil legal system and under such circumstances, Canon Law states that permission to receive the sacrament again cannot be granted.
