That one is mostly in English. Only certain parts are in Latin.Originally posted by vince69:found another one, did a search by Mass by Language, and this one comes out as the only one under the Latin category.

It was legal only for those two days because the Bishop gave permission.Originally posted by Icemoon:Yah .. I went with my friend to Holy Cross. The priest was really young.
What's so secretive about it? I thought it is legal since it was conducted within the church building.
The priest really dun face the congregation one. Most of the time he is chanting in latin and "playing around" with the "equipments". And I don't remember there was any sermon. But he conducted the eucharist.
Nice experience.

Of all places .. they chosen Holy Cross. Must be the church very ulu.Originally posted by SingaporeMacross:It was legal only for those two days because the Bishop gave permission.
Without permission, the Tridentine Mass cannot be celebrated.
The only reason the two Masses were allowed is because there was a requirement for it to be kept in low profile.
I remember they did a brief introduction on him. I thought I heard 'NUS' mentioned.Originally posted by sand king:yupps i went for the holy cross one, if im not wrong he mentioned that the teached in a Chij school before
The priest is Father Duncan Wong, FSSP.Originally posted by Icemoon:Of all places .. they chosen Holy Cross. Must be the church very ulu.
Anyway the priest was really young. He could be mistaken as an acolyte (sp?) if he dons their costume.

Yes they have branches, NO you can't attend their masses.Originally posted by Icemoon:btw .. SSPX got branch in singapore or not? maybe we can attend their Mass.
I am not under the RC magistrum (sp?). I am not in union with Rome, that puts me in the same boat as them.Originally posted by SingaporeMacross:Yes they have branches, NO you can't attend their masses.
Don't go there. Their psycho-ing tactics parallel that of CHC.
oh well, caveat emptor.Originally posted by Icemoon:I am not under the RC magistrum (sp?). I am not in union with Rome, that puts me in the same boat as them.
I have attended CHC and come out unscathed (and unconverted). I should be safe there.
There seems to be indication that Pope Benedict is in favour of granting permission to celebrate the Tridentine Mass without a priori approval from the local ordinary. At least based on some of the stuff carried by Catholic media.Originally posted by SingaporeMacross:It was legal only for those two days because the Bishop gave permission.
