Although Judaism, Islam and Christianity hail from Middle East, Christianity is the only faith that evolved and developed outside of ME for the past 2000 years, so much that there is not much difference between modern European's philosophy and culture, and Christianity
And Europe being the source of Christianity from where people in Asia and Africa got influenced by, it is in some way technically correct to say Christianity is a Western religion... -

A friend of mine, a very faithful Buddhist, actually all these years thought that Buddhism came from China.
One day she said "Buddhism come from India, not China meh?" I also faint
