Raising Funds For The Poor Of IndiaA small group of parishioners have come together (with their talents) to help raise funds for the Poor of India. They will be leaving for Kolkata on 26th Oct Â’05 and will return on 5th Nov 05.
We invite you to share in their beautiful work of love by purchasing the Gifts of Love which they will be selling at the Piazza for 4 weekends. Proceeds from the sales will go towards the street people & their children; the Lepers at Titigarh; the Destitutes and the Dying (Nirmal Hriday) and the Orphanage (Shi Shu Bhavan) run by the Missionaries of Charity.
Gifts on sale include homemade chocolate cookie delights/table pieces (crochet))/clay chopstick holders/figurines/one-decade rosaries/scripture note pads/ everlasting orchids in beautiful vases and photo frames with picturesque scenes of Switzerland. You can also make a bid for a beautiful Korean Statue of Our Lady with Baby Jesus and an exquisite Terracotta Tea Set (hand-painted in 24K Gold) from Greece, to be sold to the highest bidder on the last weekend, Mission Sunday, 23rd October Â’05.
