Season of Lent is early this year..

Anyone knows the patterns in the seasons? I wonder why sometimes its so late, and at other times, its too early, like if our bishop were strict, we would be forgoing our meat and fasting on CNY which is also Ash Wednesday.
At least this lent my Mom can celebrate her birthday. Her birthday usually falls during lent that's why she always celebrate it with mine.. but this time we can have a separate celebration.

Ash Wednesday is pushed to Friday. Which means you can eat your bak kwa on Wednesday and Thursday, but Friday you've got to abstain.
