Why cooking oil out of stock?

  KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia has slapped restrictions on cooking oil purchases after panic-buying triggered by rumours of price hikes caused severe shortages, reports said on Saturday.
  
  From next week, Malaysians will only be permitted to buy a maximum of 5kg of cooking oil at any one time, Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Datuk Shafie Apdal said, according to the state Bernama news agency.

  Govt controls the price tightly, somemore 1/2 of market price, I suppose they rather export it to Singapore or other countries
  
  5kg Knife oil over there cost like RM16... Here cost S$11.25 (Based on branded 5Kg + 1Kg branded pack of S$13.50)
