congrats. it is good not to have the credit cards as this will help you to spend within your limit. read the paper and you will notice that there are people who have not graduate from U but already a bankrupt due to credit cards loans.

Then take action to clear up any problem (real or otherwise) that may be hindering your application.
You may need to take time to clear things up but it is better to do it early.
