Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and i would like to share it with all of you. Apologies to those who have yet to start on this book.
In Snape's pensieve, Harry saw his father, James doodling on a piece of parchment. He had drawn a golden snitch with his love interest's (Harry's mom's) initials on it.
Later in the book, Ginny, the stand-in seeker for Gryffindor, grabbed the golden snitch from Ravenclaw's Cho at the last minute. The latter finished on the losing side and threw down her broomstick angrily when the final whistle blew.
This makes me think that the snitch represents true love. In the case of James, it was Lily who married him fresh out of school. In Ginny's case, could the snitch be symbolic of Harry's heart? I ertainly hope so.
