It didn't seem to me that the deaths of Fred, Lupin, Tonks, Creevy and Hedwig served any purpose other than being purely accidental casualties of war. Pretty sad.....

Overall its a pretty nice book.. however, Rowling unfortunately wasn't very creative.. she had to make up some parts so the entire story could link..
1. Why did they choose that stupid forest to get the sword... Snape put it there and suddenly Harry discovers it.. whoa.. so coincidental man..
2. Ron suddenly appearing with the stupid idea about the delunminator.. so lame man.. disappear then appear agn.
3. Harry breaking his wand.. only to find out that Ron (who didnt even know Harry broke it) COINCIDENTALLY STOLE A NEW WAND FROM THE SNATCHES
4. Harry's blood in Voldermort made him survive.. no link man.. although Voldermort became human due to Harry's blood, it has ABSOLUTELY NO LINK to the fact that he killed his partial soul in Harry when he casted the killing spell.
5. Rowling OBVIOUSLY wanted to shorten the killing of all "6" Horcruxes so when Ron and Hermonine disappeared in Hogwats castle, they went into the chamber of secrets and guess what.. BASILIK's FANGS CAN ACTUALLY KILL HORCRUXES DUE TO "DEEP MAGIC"... LOL...
Many more lame parts.. just too lazy to write haha..

Some of these can be explained:
1. Snape sent a Patronus when they were near the location of the sword.
3. Subsequently you see that the stolen wand doesn't work as well for Harry, it introduces the idea of the wand choosing allegiences.
4. The ugly baby in King's Cross was the little bit of Voldermort. Voldermort looked like that before he regained his body in Goblet Of Fire.
5. i think that this whole story like draggy in the beginning with no lead. Then like in the mid of the story, they suddenly found clues and then eventually found horcrux. Then they found so many horcrux at the same time and destroys it in such a short time. Wah.. harry , ron, hermione all god ar?
and then, the elder wand like magic liddat. harry only cast expelliarmus and then win voldy's killing curse. wah leow... tt means avada kedava is nth compared to expeilliarmus la?
and how come even hedwig oso want to kill? colin too. so many innocents killed. and also, why muggles doesnt seemed to be affected? why the fight occurs only in hogwarts and not some muggle place? -
can't be worse than gu long stories. every 3 pages got new character appear, then die, then new character appear again, then die. zz

for the elder wand part, harry was the 'true master' of the elder wand, thus the wand would not have killed harry potter anyway, the expelliarmus was to get Harry's wand back(the elder wand) as u read they will say the elder wand flew over towards harry. Muggles were affected = = they just weren't significant enough to be mentioned compared to wizard deaths. The fight occured in hogwarts because Voldemort knew that harry was hunting horcruxes and Alecto told voldemort harry was at hogwarts. Also harry was finding the diadem. -
just finished reading it yesterday, but found that the ending part is a bit complicated, esp when harry went to kill off voldemort that time...
but the part when snape revealed his memory is, one of the most touching parts in this book...
the other part is realizing that fred, lupin and tonks are killed during the war...though they should elaborate more on that...
and yea, it does feel a bit rushed...
