Gryffindor's Heir

  Remember the basilisk scene from Chamber of Secrets? No, I'm not saying how romantic it was (though it is a fact). I'd like to draw attention to the sword of Gryffindor. Dumbledore said only a true Gryffindor could pull the sword out of the sorting hat.
  
  Fast forward to Half-blood Prince. Seems like the sword of Gryffindor was foreshadowing events in the latest book. Could JKR have meant to say Harry was Godric Gryffindor's heir in the second book? Is Harry truly the heir of Gryffindor? Let's discuss.

  Ron? But it was Harry who pulled Gryffindor's sword from the sorting hat. Would Ron or Neville have been able to do that?

  i think Harry is Gryffindor's heir, not by blood since he had Salazer's but by choice and the decision he made to be in Gryffindor on the 1st day he entered Hogwarts
