Alan Shearer has slammed the award of the match-tilting penalty for ManYoo in their 3-1 win at Newcastle on Sunday.
The visitors were awarded a contentious spot-kick just minutes after Shearer had scored a deserved equaliser.
The Toon skipper was incensed by the decision, convinced that Wayne Rooney had pushed Andy OÂ’Brien in the build-up and that referee Mike Dean had been influence by Sir Alex's Ferguson tirade at Graham Poll last Sunday when ManYoo weren't awarded a penalty against Citeh.
"We're all bitterly disappointed and angry that he gave a penalty," he said.
"I'm 50 yards up the pitch and I could see a push on Andy O'Brien - and the ref is 10 or 15 yards away and he can't see it.
"Maybe he (Dean) feels he is under pressure because of Alex's comments after the Manchester City game last week when he said he was never going to get a penalty.
"I think he (Ferguson) has been given one today rather generously.
"At 1-1 they're rocking and we're looking to win the game. A decision like that has totally changed the game.
"I'm not so sure the ref would give it at Old Trafford for us - I know that because I got one disallowed last year.
"It hasn't been a good week but there's been no complaints about effort, commitment and passion - that's all there. The dividing line between success and failure is very small and we feel we are not far away.
"If we keep playing like we are things have to turn at this club. No-one is panicking."
