Newcastle losing complete a disastrous week for the top 5 big clubs. Looking at the League table, it's rather odd to see Everton, Bolton n Middleborough occupying positions normally associated with Man U, Liverpool n Newcastle even at this early stage of the season. Chelsea must b laughing all the way to the bank after this week's results.

Here's a match by match breakdown of UEFA Champions League Round 4 predictions:
Arsenal (Eng) 1 - 1 Panathinaikos (Gre)
The Gunner's train HAS definitely derailed with the defeat by the Devils a forenight ago. Coupled with their poor series of results in their European campaign to-date. It's a wonder how they will response at home? They must have thought they nearly won it when the Greeks spurn the chance to equalise with the offered penalty. But alas, Monsieur Cygan poped up yet again to sink his own team. FULL PTS to RSP n mercutioz whereas the majority went 4 a home result prediction.
PSV Eindhoven (Hol) 1 - 0 Rosenborg (Nor)
The Norwegian league just ended not too long ago, whereas PSV is currently the Dutch league leader if my memory serves me correctly. Everything points to a home victory but by how much? extremex, cHaOs n Baseline struck gold with maximum pts. xking n Entic crashed n burned 4 predicting an upset. The rest all shared some of the spoil.
Barcelona (Spa) 2 - 1 AC Milan (Ita)
A tough one to call...AC being the only team outside of Spain to humiliate Barca on their own turf in recent European competition history. Yet nobody ever walk out of Nou Camp with maximum point, let alone 1 point in European competition. Barca got their revenge for the defeat at San Siro a forenight ago. xking, BeNo n cHaOs emerged triumpant with maximum pts.
Celtic (Sco) 1 - 0 Shakhtar Donetsk (Ukr)
Celtic has a strong home record in recent European campaigns, even strong European teams have dropped points playing at Parkhead. Critics might argued that this was achieved with a certain Mr Larsson who has since moved on, but the fact still remains that Celtic at Parkhead is a tough nut 2 beat. s|nNeD was the only guy with FULL pts. Baseline been the odd one out w/o any pt by predicting a draw.
Inter Milan (Ita) 0 - 0 Valencia (Spa)
Inter, Inter, Inter....undefeated in the Serie A n Europe this season so far. In Vieri n Adriano, they got 2 strikers with the firepower 2 gun down any sides. So far these 2 have been bailing out their team when the defence went 2 sleep. Spanish champion Valencia on the hand is going through a mini-slump... W/o a win in 6 consecutive matches, they r in woeful 6th place in La Liga n got thrashed at home by Inter. BrUtUs was the only one level-headed enuff to believe in Spanish pride, for that he got 1 pt. All the rest of us got carried away that a home win was inevitable.
Werder Bremen (Ger) 5 - 1 Anderlecht (Bel)
Honestly, who followed German Bundesliga? I don't as a matter of fact but Belgian football is much worse than German football and that's common knowlege. s|nNeD n BrUtUs believed in Anderlect's pride n paid the price. All the rest rather believe in the firepower of Werder Bremen, the current German champion and wat a display!!!
CSKA Moscow (Rus) 0 - 1 Chelsea (Eng)
A point is all Chelski needs to qualify for the knockout stage of Champs League. BeNo must have read too much into the weather n how it might affect Chelski since he predicted an upset. Everybody else got something out of this match with Baseline reaping full reward. Congratz!!!
FC Porto (Por) 0 - 0 Paris S.G. (Fra)
French n Portugese football are an unknown quality. We saw their kind of football during World Cup n European competitions. Best of all, we know their footballers better than their footballing styles. Porto hit the headlines due to a certain Monsieur Mourinho 4 the past 2 seasons. PSG has been known to introduce footballers like Zidane n Ronaldinho to the world. A 50-50 split among the predictors for going 4 a stalemate n a home victory. Congrats to those who got a pt for such a dull match.
Deportivo (Spa) 0 - 1 Liverpool (Eng)
A dose of luck compliment of Jorge Andrades handed the Reds a lifeline into the next round. Gratz 2 extremex n xking who got full pts. Redz n BeNo both got 2 pts for sticking with the Reds getting a result amidst their lack of strikers.
Olympiakos (Gre) 1 - 0 Monaco
The Greek side done it again!!! Observers who followed Champions League soccer will know of the near invincibility of Olympiakos at home. No matter the odds, they always defy the convention n get a result. Gratz 2 BeNo n mercutioz getting it correct.
AS Roma (Ita) 1 - 1 Leverkusen (Ger)
A last min strike from Montella saves the blushes for Roma. They r really pathetic at the moment, brilliant 1 moment, horrible the next... Out for the running of the Scudetto n almost out of Champions League... Perhaps by securing 3rd place n entering the UEFA Cup, they can kickstart their miserable season so far. Gratz 2 s|nNeD n BeNo 4 getting full marks.
Dynamo Kyiv (Ukr) 2 - 2 Real Madrid (Spa)
Even mighty Chelsea only manage a goal away at cold Russia. Well the Galacticos manage 2 score twice, but the difference is...their porous defence.
I wondered how long can Casillas take it when the defenders in front of him r more interested in attacking than defending? Gratz 2 xking n cHa0s getting a pt each.
Bayern Munich (Ger) 0 - 1 Juventus (Ita)
Juventus is showing the kind of imperious form that gets u silverware. Next 2 Chelsea of England, they got 1 of the meanest defence in Europe. If Mourinho boasts of his golden triangle, wat abt the golden triangle of Buffon, Thuram n Canavaro who have been playing together since their time at Parma? Gratz 2 extremex n xking getting it rite. Also Redz n BeNo got 2 pts each.
Maccabi T-Aviv (Isr) 2 - 1 Ajax Amsterd. (Hol)
A shocker of an upset! But that's wat u get when a team is playing 4 pride n no pressure on them 2 perform. Everybody predicted a walkover by Ajax, but we were all so WRONG.
Lyon (Fra) 4 - 1 Fenerbahce (Tur)
Well a similar fixture where the French Champion was expected 2 stamp all over Fenerbahce even with a striker of Piere Van Hooijdonk's standing in the team. Well the margin of the victory was least expected but everybody got 1 or 2 pts for their predictions. Well done, guys!!!
Manchester U. (Eng) 4 - 2 Sparta Prague (Cze)
Can Sparta do it again? A complete shutout at Old Trafford? "Not a chance!!!" said Van the Man. His double brace KO Sparta even when they score a brace.
