HL2 source code hackers arrested!

thanks to the bastards who hacked into valve and gotten the Half Life 2 source codes and cause the delay in releasing the game!
The Half-Life 2 code theft saga entered a new chapter today when Valve Software announced that a series of arrests had been made in the case. According to Valve, suspects in several countries had been taken into custody in relation to charges stemming from the theft of the Half-Life 2 code, the distribution of the code, and the break-in into Valve's network - extracted from gamespot -
Well... doubt Valve will release hl2 so soon too
More of a way to stall their anticipated release... generating high interest and coverage

the real story is that last year, some hackers hacked thru valve thru their email system, and gotten a big patch of the source code in their directory..
how they do it i duno... then the hackers went to sierra's IRC channel to sort of taunt them in gamesnet... they said they got sierra's Half Life 2 source code, and sierra did not believe them... so they release their source code, which some ppl on this earth get to download the Half Life 2 game...
this angers sierra, and thats the reason why the delay in the release... the game suppose to come out during march this year... -
IMO .... it's just a convenient excuse to delay the release of the game. Sierra & Valve are both hurting still from the CS:CZ backlash, no reason to release something supposedly new when their most recent attempt was a huge pile of BS! Remember; paying for CZ was basically paying for a new bot program & some updated skins/maps! NO new content absolutely! & dun forget Valve and their CS "Cybercafe" version rofl!!
ps. why play HL2 when there is UT2004?

valve is trying to earn more money in here.... the LAN version of the CS 1.6 is helping them earning alot... but its so sucky, so many problems using the steam program, and that is also one of the reason why i quit the game... lol -
UT graphics are awesome man .... wish they had a mac version lol! CZ single player? who plays that lol? CS cut its teeth on the multiplayer FPS scene, remember? Many Cybercafes in the US & UK are boycotting CS now, as they are being pressured to pay (again & monthly) for their already paid for CS keys. Not a problem in Asia since almost all LAN shops run cheong versions rofl!!!
