well, Clementi got hit with blackout
i think mookie's place also kena coz marine parade was reported blacked out on the radio..
thing is now my tv has gone nuts... watching the Jimmy Dean movie, Giant.. and the sky's purple... -

I thought it was only my house that blacked out! Because I thought I caused the power trip!
I'd just turned on the water heater, strolled into my room, turned on the light. The light flickered ONCE and all went dark.
The heater used to trip the power at home like that before, so I thought I was the culprit for a moment.
I shrieked and totally didn't know what to do but grope my way in the dark to my brother's room and badger him for his fluorescent light.
Terrible, terrible.

it pays to have a small LED light
i was about to swear loudly coz the fusebox in the house has not given us problems for a couple of years since we rewired the whole house... used to trip for no apparent reason before
thought it had died again
then saw the neighbours also dark... reached for my keypouch and flicked the LED light on
neighbours also v funny... switched on their car lights to illuminate the inside of their house -
mookie, back on... if not on, i'd have no connection.. my modem is powered by the mains

useful when I'm looking for the keyhole 
But it wasn't really helpful just now.
I had alot of light-sticks, all lining the staircase... And my brother had two big fluorescent lights, and my dad had some really bright lightbulb powered by his laptop battery I betcha my house was the brightest in the street just now. 
So exaggerating. -

the wires power your phones and usually, they have separate backup power...
used my home phone to try and call Singapore Power a while ago..

heh heh so who else blacked out last night? Woke up at 4+ with air-con still running so i know i was ok ..... rained tho until the wee hours, soo refreshing!
