Guitar prices are quite standard, if u bargain, they won't even entertain you. kekekeOriginally posted by jusgal:i think so...
ya lor, I also said go to Plaza Singapura to buy liao.Originally posted by fishing7:Guitar prices are quite standard, if u bargain, they won't even entertain you. kekeke
Please dun go Swee Lee unless u are looking for Premium stuff. They have one of the best equipments in Singapore and even the cheapest is quite ex too.
Choose a Yamaha one at Plaza Singapura, sure won't go wrong. Me guarantee!!

Saw one guitar Yamaha C-40 at abt 131+. Not bad. But later reliase that a beginner should start not with a costly guitar coz in the end, this new guitarist may or may not continue to learn/practice again. Unless they are ok with the price.Originally posted by jusgal:ok

Thanks again Xking for sacrificing his house for our session.
Ok, let me set a date, on 11th sept (sat) at 5pm. At Xking's place. How about that?
Xking: Tell me if that day is ok
My humble opinion is to get a CG 101, at least. If can wait until December, there is normally a sales to clear the old stocks. The discount is quite good.Originally posted by fishing7:Saw one guitar Yamaha C-40 at abt 131+. Not bad. Ah jus. Consider loh. I even saw one cheapo one selling at $40.
i'm using CG 101 also. Not too bad for beginners. worth consideringOriginally posted by SnowFlag:My humble opinion is to get a CG 101, at least. If can wait until December, there is normally a sales to clear the old stocks. The discount is quite good.
Definitely shouldn't consider the $40 guitar. When a guitar is sold cheaply, there isn't any quality control. That means it is often hard to play (not good if you were trying to master the guitar), the position of the frets are not checked to see if they can produce the correct sounds etc.

Now mayb cheaper le.
Most impt is the player mus be comfortable wif the guitar.
So by all means go N test the guitar when shopping for one.
Have a feel..try pressing the frets,pluck around,strum around abit.
Thats how i did.... N it served me quite well till now.
