Saw one guitar Yamaha C-40 at abt 131+. Not bad. But later reliase that a beginner should start not with a costly guitar coz in the end, this new guitarist may or may not continue to learn/practice again. Unless they are ok with the price.Originally posted by jusgal:ok

My humble opinion is to get a CG 101, at least. If can wait until December, there is normally a sales to clear the old stocks. Definitely shouldn't consider the $40 guitar. When a guitar is sold cheaply, there isn't any quality control. That means it is often hard to play (not good if you were trying to master the guitar), the position of the frets are not checked to see if they can produce the correct sounds etc. -

I bought the Yamaha C-340 at $95 about 5 years ago bah. Still in good shape after a series of jamming.
But now, seems like this economic guitar nowhere to be found. -
