Info For those Fish Lovers

Hello westsiders, below are some of the info of the fish shop that are available in the western side. If you have any good recommendation, please share it here
1. Clementi Block 328
(abt 5-10min walk from clementi central) The block has 3 fish shop.
The one in the middle
- not much business.
- fish sold there so so only
The one on the right, beside a clinic
- has many accessories like tank, filters etc
- things are cheaper than the other two shop. If know the boss, extra discount
- variety of fishes, include arrowana, betta, koi etc
- shop is too narrow and messy, shopkeepers too busy to talk to you
- Closes at abt 11pm everyday. Sunday and public holiday closed
The one on the left,
- has also many accesories like tank, filters etc
- things are display neatly and shop is spacious
- variety of fishes are so so only, have marine fishes too
- shop assistant very eng, can ask them question
- 24 hour (no joke)

If I go Australia, I don't think I'd want to eat Fish n Chips.
I had them practically everyday when I went to Brisbane for a performance tour. Ewch. But the salads were nice.

Another info:
Fish are cold blooded animals. But is doesn't mean that they like cold water. They are weaker and immune to diseases when water is too cold.
Singapore weather is ok, but if in air con area, a fish tank temperature can go below 22 degree. Get a heater to WARM up those water at abt 25 degree. -
think the one next to the clinic is the best.

Goldfish - the dirtiest among all the fishes, need alot of space for it to stay healthy
Do you know that they need 10 gallon of water per goldfish. For example a normal 2 feet tank is about 16 - 17 gallon. So, the max number of goldfish the tank can contain should be only 2. Anything more than that is really over crowding.
Overcrowding will make the goldfish more prune to diseases. -

how to make a sissy fighting fish aggresive ar? normally if u put a fighting fish in front of the mirror, it will start banging at the walls of the tank rite? this particular fish when put in front of mirror..look a while..then just turn away liao leh..how to make it "show off/open up" it's fins and be aggresive ar? -

Dun change water too often, cos chlorine irritates fishes. Once your fish is well and healthy, it will even response when u go near.
But betta also hard to keep leh. Me tried but eventually died. The longest was about 1 year.

just bought it yesterday afternoon only, and yupz, it doesn't seem to be eating it's food.
