It's free mah, no harm getting it right?
When you hit 21, actually I think you can still keep the card. I don't think the bank will send you a letter asking you to open a new account. Then when you turn 21, you can get your own Visa R card!

i want to hang on to the free card until they 'evict' me. then after that see whether want to apply or not. because debit cards are 1 of the fastest way to empty yr wallet besides a woman, just kidding.Originally posted by MooKu:What violent? @_@
Okay hmm as I was saying, Visa R card is a debit card that you have to pay annual fees for. There are two kinds of Visa R cards, namely the Visa R Classic ($24 p.a.) and the Visa R Gold ($60 p.a.).
Oh you can actually apply for the Visa R Classic now.. don't have to wait until you turn 21, cos you're in poly!
Actually, why don't you open a Campus account? You get your own CHEQUE BOOK!
What whether SP got or not? You can sign up for the campus account so long as you're a student in a tertiary institution mah. I loooooove cheques! Handy when I pay lesson fees. But I don't have.Originally posted by bismarck:i want to hang on to the free card until they 'evict' me. then after that see whether want to apply or not. because debit cards are 1 of the fastest way to empty yr wallet besides a woman, just kidding.
campus acc ah? forget it lah. dunno whether SP got. anyway i hate using cheques...90% of them would probably bounce because of my excellent handwriting
violent? do waht most singaporeans do. when have to pay for fees, call up and threaten to cancel card.
sch fees ? my parents pay for it. no need for me. :pOriginally posted by MooKu:What whether SP got or not? You can sign up for the campus account so long as you're a student in a tertiary institution mah. I loooooove cheques! Handy when I pay lesson fees. But I don't have.
Heh I heard that quite a number of people do that. Cos nowadays alot of cards have first year annual fee waived, they cancel the card after the first year and apply for something else.
The Campus Account is a current account under UOB. -_-Originally posted by bismarck:sch fees ? my parents pay for it. no need for me. :p
aiyah UOB got meh?
actually i want to get it because the nearest POSB atm machines is half the damn campus away.. and both are located within 50m away from each other...so get the UOB tx card more convienient since UOB atm right below my block nia.
can the UOB tx debit card(panting*) be used to withdraw cash? now i have a tx acc and they sent me a form asking me to get the card but not sure whether eligible for the contest or not( the brocheure says there's a lucky draw for ipod and stuff)
actually i dunno what got into my head to ask whether UOB got the campus card.Originally posted by MooKu:The Campus Account is a current account under UOB. -_-
Yes... the TX Debit card can be used to withdraw cash from ATM machines.
