new members to my fish tank(2)

  just bought some dwarf (err...so fast forgot name liao) 'gu-rai-mi' or something that sounds similar..
  
  CNY mood liao
  so bought, 2 gold(rather golden brown), 2 silver, 1 red and 1 blue(only 1 left in the shop)
  
  their flaky food looks like dried leaves
  anyway they initially started to eat some..but now left most of the food there and they are rather lazy to swim....acclimatising????

  mine's a fresh tank. so water new..defn clear water..
  
  i supposed wont be long before it turns cloudy or coloured.
  
  the fish seems to be still traumatised...
  
  parrot fish ah...the shop didnt stock any i think....just went there because it has a rather big variety of the 4 shops we went and found something new for the new year...

  i would be traumastised if god pick me up from langkawi and threw me at the gobi desert. a gravel would help in calming them down. water plants went a step further in conditioning the water.
  
  i just brought 2 rainbowfish days back and they started dancing minutes after introducing them to their tankmate. right now, they are happily mating.

  i've got a feeling 1 of them was either a fighting fish or shark in it's past life...
  
  it keeps chasing and trying to attack all the other gouramis. 1 of them picks on 1 of the fishes and chases it across the tank many rounds and changes target and the cycle repeats and goes back to chasing the first fish....
  
  such a small fish was chased so fast, it swam across a 2feet long tank in under 0.4s..
  
  for a small fish, thats fast....damn fast..

  is it the orange color one? normally tat one is fierce...
  otherwise whoever is the biggest will be the bullier..
  i used to hv them also... n the orange one v fierce.. also the biggest among all.. caused some of them to die so at the end gotta take it out.

  buy a pump /w filter, keeps water clean & aerates too

  The one who pick fights will be the one surviving one. It the fittest of them all.
  Suggestion to prevent this fights from happening
  
  1) Remove the fish (But u run the risk of stressing out that fish and dying)
  2) Add more fishes, normally fishes tend to live togther in peace when they are in large groups

  not really this hobby..but gouramis...
  i've isolated it by placing a clear plastic bottle (huge can) big enuf for it swim and water to circulate ard but prevent it frm swimming out or other fishes swimming in and get attacked.
  
  anyway 1 of the red ones for some reason, suffered some extent of gill damage...

  i got 1...but abit weak and i suspect it's not ideal for establishing a proper growth area for the bacterial population to break down the ammonia and stuff..
  
  the goldfishes' tank works because the filter can support the bacterial crap

  Take care and make sure it just gill damage and not some gill infection
  else they would require medical attenation
