i took this photo at HK airport while waiting for our return flight and we had quite sometime before our flight so we had something to eat at the italian eatery there staffed by locals (HK ppl).
we attempted to wheel our trolley into the dining area (just some tables and stuff) to a table which was very close to the edge of the dining area which was lined with plants. we chose that table because it was the closest to the outside and wouldnt block anyone. in fact, we told the staff we wanted to park the trolley so that half of it is in the eatery and half outside. but we were flatly refused, citing lack of space and the trolley being too big.
hence we had to leave it outside and move it as close as possible to our table (which is only a feet away) and keep close watch on it.
but before long, this caucasian couple comes with their trolley and they were allowed in WITH their trolley. they werent given a table that was like outside the eatery. in fact it was much deeper in and more or less close to the main entrance to the eatery. so it would have blocked someone.
not only was it allowed it, the staff even helped the couple to move the trolley so that they can sit down and order. and the waiter who came to take their orders came almost immediately.
when we came, we had to wait for 5+mins before anyone bothered.

anyway we orderd 3 pizzas and this miserable table had problems holding all 3...
