dying fishy needs help

i dont want to lose another fish....
but i dunno what happened to it...all the other fishes are fine..

sometimes , even it's just a fish, i think of euthanasia -
looks like parasites.
change the water, buy those solutions where you can add to water to kill off parasites.
Normally when I change water I add a bit of salt -
usually its fatal....very contagious!! to prevent further infections to your other fishes, isolate that fella quickly....Ocean Free (the brand) has a range of medication, I think its alphabet J - when you add it in the water it turns purple and then clears up by itself..it treats a broad spectrum of illnesses, maybe can try that?!Originally posted by the Bear:unfortunately, usually, the fish dies... -

If u want to keep goldfish, be sure to have a quarantine tank, with proper aeration and heater.
Oh ya, recently weather is very cold. Goldfish are more prone to white spots in cold water. Heat it up to abt 26 degree celsius.
Those read lines u see are blood streaks, usually happen when the fish is very stressed.

Ask aquarium shop? Should have some salt for it.
Last time my fishes also like that, bought salt liao and it 'came back to live'. -

Hope it's not too late.
You need to do a number of things in check.
1. Do not over feed. Left overs must be clean out and not relying on the filter to do it.
2. Maintain regular water change at about 30% every 2 to 3 days.
3. Service your filter regularly. If using external, once every month and change the medium every 3 months.
Now.. your ill fishy.
1. Isolate your fish.
2. try using Pimafix and Melafix mixed.
3. Do not feed the fish during these time.
4. Service your filter.
5. Clean up your tank.
6. If you do have plants in your tank, check if they are rotting.

anyway the fish died on the morning of 9th...
i do have a second tank but the pump seems to be problematic
irony is tht the 2nd tank's pump is brand new...the pump for the goldfishes are old (given to us)
there's something i dont quite understand with the water is that, sometime before this fish died. the water was rather cloudy despite water changes and when i was busy for a week , the water became clearer and clearer until what u have seen abv. but if u look at the water from the tank's breath, u notice the water is slightly yellowish.
now the moment i changed waterm it's back to being cloudy again. -
