Do u feel emotionally detached as u grow older?

  Mayb it's the violence that r prevalent in games, movies n mass media. Mayb it's the weather n almost the end of the year... Always introspective n reflecting on the year that's abt 2 passed ard this period... Can't remember the last time when I was touched, let alone the last time I cried... Get's me pondering, do we bcome emotionally aloof n detached as we grow older

  I feel the weight of the world on my shoulder
  As I'm gettin' older, y'all, people gets colder
  Most of us only care about money makin'
  Selfishness got us followin' in the wrong direction
  Wrong information always shown by the media
  Negative images is the main criteria
  Infecting the young minds faster than bacteria
  Kids wanna act like what they see in the cinema
  Yo', whatever happened to the values of humanity
  Whatever happened to the fairness in equality
  Instead in spreading love we spreading animosity
  Lack of understanding, leading lives away from unity
  That's the reason why sometimes I'm feelin' under
  That's the reason why sometimes I'm feelin' down
  There's no wonder why sometimes I'm feelin' under
  Gotta keep my faith alive till love is found

  My thoughts exactly. I don't feel happy anymore. In fact, i can't remember the last time i ever felt happy... now i just feel so empty... smile at everything. Heck, i can't even feel fear. Sob.

  no no no...wat i mean is horror movies don't scare u as much... seeing simulated violence no longer make u cringe... this got nothing 2 do with looking 4 love or the state of happiness... perhaps more 2 do with losing that bit of innocence as we grow older n bcoming more worldly? Financial concern is a whole different issue... When's the last time u were touched? the last time u were scared shitless? the last time u were overcomed with emotion? We become more emotionally guarded as we grow older or is that more cynical?

  actually yes, even see what good things bad things there are in sgforums also dont affect me
  
  see friends do foolish things also dont care
  
  violent movie also see until sian, the only thing that gross me out is not some stupid white figure crawling out of well, but actual depictions of blood and anatomy of man..

  erm, yah.. actually i meant more for the losing of innocence and so on....
  i just thot i shld copy the whole verse, rather than just that specific part...
  but erm... i think hor, i'm the type who is emotional ba.. watch doramas also can cry one..
  but then again, when it comes to real life... i think i'm more emtionally detached...
