are there times that u cant really trust ppl to do things ?

not in the situation that u are afraid that the person will run away or something or cheat you.
but in situations where u are simply afraid the person u entrust a task to will screw up, such as making major mistakes,damaging stuffs, making major mistakes that either yr partner does not notice he/she is making or mistakes that yr partner decides to hide from you and act as if nothing has happened?
so much so that even if u are sick, u die die also want have to go down do it personally? -

Of course.
It happens to me once a while, but generally if the thing is important i try to do it myself... -
there are times for my proj, i feel like doing it all myself, not leaving anything for my grp members. not that i am superman, but there are so many crucial aspects of the proj that no one can afford to screw up and i dont really trust ppl when it comes to this stage.

indeed there are such times.
I've had colleagues that I can't entrust my work to. So prior going on leave, i have to make sure all loose ends are tied and hope that when i get back from leave, there's no mess for me to clear.
And when on sick leave, i rather have my out-of-office email notice telling pple to contact me for urgent matters instead of handing the stuff over.
But thank God, the majority of the people I work with are ok.. -
Trust is built over time ......
Just have to give the people around you to a chance to prove themselves. If not you will die of overwork and the rest never get to learn.
But for the most important things that you cannot afford to fail, do it yourself

always get a group of males and females
guys are usually lazy, but more efficient and creative
gals are more meticulous and hardworking, but lack sense of urgency...
i will contribute more when i remember... -

but do things "chop" has its distinct advantages in some situations. chop chop finish, chop chop rest. chop chop get back to playing halo 2, etc.
in terms of creativity, girls are not lacking. it's only coz some, SOME only, are shy about speaking up, and they let the guys lead. there's a reason for this: some guys do not like girls to overshadow them. and girls realise, over time, that in order to keep things peaceful and harmonious, it may be be better to take a back seat and let the guys decide what to do. that's why they might give the impression that they lack a sense of urgency. they are waiting for instructions, so to speak. no offence to the gals. but alot of girls now are not like that, and some are really vocal, some are truly dynamic leaders. the world aint what it used to be in our fathers' times. -

drove me to tears... there was a rather important part that was handed to me 2 or 3 days before the report was due... was cryin n doin it at teh same time... panic attack..

i got a D for that module...when i was so sure i could have gotten at least a C or a B for that at teh start of the sem -

U think like that becoz personally, you wants things to be perfect.
That's not a big prob, that's a virtue. Means u are not bo chap.
As u move along, u realise that people are not that perfect, including yourself. That will lead u to expect less from others -
it really depends on how crucial the project or assignment entasked is....if it's a very impt one... i would have to personally oversee every stage of the project...
of cos...we would still have to delegate some work...in such a case...it would be impt for u to guide the not-so-trustful co-worker step-by-step and then continue to monitor the progress...
trust is to be built over time...and it must be earned...
