Well according to the SC posting, it is a clip that holds the glass pane that might break and give way. So the window pane will unceremoniously drop into the door frame and cannot be raised again.
Just in case you guys here any funny breaking sound when operating the window, immediately hold the window pane and don't let it slip. Got to buy some suckers to stick onto the base of the window so it does not drop into the door frame!
I had this problem happen to me twice many years ago with my Toyota Corolla. After that incident, never bought a Toyota again!
