Dave, you mentioned in "Useful Information" that Tye Electronics could do this.
Any idea exactly how it's done? I always thought there was no choice but to replace the whole unit. If this is possible, I wonder if it can also be modified to read MP3s on CDROM.
Eps probably knows the answer to this one.

Hi, talked to Tye about this too, but unfortunately no. They have to change the whole head unit and changer if you want to play DVDs or MP3. For VCD, it is just a "adapter box" that they connect to the changer and this allows the changer to decode VCDs. All your hifi controls are unchanged and you can change VCDs from the steering etc. You just need to add a screen somewhere to view the movie.
