De-badging the 9-3SS

I have decided to de-badge, both the 9-3 and 2.0t are coming off.
saabster: how did you do it? Any special tools, procedures? -
I found this on Saabcentral:
The badges are held on with foam double-stick tape - very easy to remove... the easiest way:
Would it be funny to swop the numbers around so it read something like "2-3 9.0t" ?
1) wash the area very well to remove any dust/dirt.
2) using a hairdryer, heat up the badge to be removed.
3) while still warm, use dental floss to 'slice' through the tape and remove the badge.
4) remove remaining adhesive with 3M Adhesive/Glue remover
5) use a light scratch remover such as Meguiar's ScratchX to lightly polish where the badge was.
6) wax the areas well.

Wow! Using a hairdryer sounds a bit OTT to me. Wonder if parking in the Singapore sun for an hour would do the same trick.

Very Simple, all I did was wet it, use some dental floss to get the numbers off, then I used some wd40(I know strange but it works) to rub off the remaining sticky tap..
Of course a good polish of the area is important after
Results....... you can;t tell that there was a number there

What do you do after debadging the rear, leave it blank except for the saab logo? I have seen some BMWs and Merc like that as well. -
Goo-gone will work well too if you don't have WD-40. Actually all you need is some solvent to remove the sticky adhesive. Alcohol will work too but not as well as some other solvents. Too strong a solvent will harm the paint job so just be careful of what you use to clean up.
I might leave the 9-3 on and just remove the 2.0t then few would know what capacity this car is. Hmmm..... -
Why not switch the 3 and the 2 around to make it

But seriously, just leaving the Saab logo at the back is really very clean and elegant.
I might consider too, as it is damn difficult to wipe around and within those numbers!! -

Yeah. Between the door, bonnet, bumper, booth, headlight, foglight, skirts, etc. gaps too!!
I even open and shut the doors and booth several times to make sure all the water drips out, and carry a small cloth with me immediately after wahing to catch any stray droplets that may appear later.
So salar, I know.

Yah me too. The worst are the streaks of water from the back number plate. Leaves that ugly streak down the backside of the car.
So, better wipe the butt after washing it, else it will be streaky!

I was thinking of getting gunmetal grey wheels. Then the whole car will be grey and I don't have to wash it anymore
Just kidding! I would love to have a clean car all the time but I can only wash it on Sundays and sometimes after bringing the family here and there, entertaining the kid etc, no more energy to wash the car so I just give it a quick wipe.
I get very depressed when I wash the car thoroughly on Sunday and by Monday evening it's dirty again.
It's probably related to all the industrial traffic that I have to drive through. -
I think my car has adopted a rain cloud that seems to follow it around. It ALWAYS rains within 24hrs of me washing my car

Yeah, I have a serious problem!! 
Maybe can buy a very big umbrella, then get the passenger to hold it up to shade the car while driving. Seriously!
