SAAB depreciation

Just saw in the Sunday classifieds a 7-month old <6000Km 9-3SS for $107K. Advertised by a dealer in Katong.
Makes my stomach turn...

Looks like the guy either "gave up" on the car or was forced to give it up, due to economic circumstances.
I just don't bother about the resale value anymore. For one thing, a car is a depreciating asset, and no decent return could ever be made by selling the car later. With the car prices dropping so much, it is not surprising that the 2nd hand cars are going for cheap.
I plan to keep my Saab for longer than usual (> 3 years) as for the first time, I am truly enjoying the drive.

Yup, don't think about the depreciation, just enjoy the drive.

the depreciation is good! it means the rest of us can afford a still pretty new Saab for much less. think of it as a boon to your Saabstance club membership entry requirements.
