My door pulls have faded to the point they are now a dirty spotty grey in color. Apparently this is a known problem. One of my friends brought his back to TE and all they did was rub some "Armor-all" type liquid into the plastic. Of course, after 2 washes it all came off again. The second time he made a stink about it, and they spray-painted his door handles the same color as the body.
If any of you have the same problem, this is how TE will fix it, I suppose. But I think it doesn't look good at all. It takes away the essence and character of the car. What's more, color-keyed door pulls tend to show up fingernail scratches very easily, especially light colors.
Saab USA has now recognised this problem. According to some guys at
Saab Central their dealers have replaced their handles under the perforation warranty.
