Decided finally to change the cheap dashboard speakers.
They were installed at a cost of $100. I was thinking of also doing the center speaker with the Boston RX47, bit they were a little too expensive
Well overall the new speakers are definitely clearer, crisper and louder. Overall a recommended upgrade

No problem, you can test on Sat to see whether you think it is an improvement on the originals
No did not do the Aux thing. Anyway now better no get the TE to plug in the Tech II unecessarily

The difference in quality of the FX3 compared with the originals is quite obvious.
As for the RX47.. I really cannot comment on the improvement since I have not installed them. But if you read on SC others have reported significant improvements.
I will call the guy that supplies them tomorrow to see whether I can get a better price. I will find out the both the cash and carry price and the installation cost for those not so inclined in DIYing......like myself..
So far I have Episilon, SwedeSport, Doodler interested.... Anyone else...?
The FX3 replace the right and left dashboard speakers. The RX47 replaces the center dash speaker.
Of course the RX47 come in pairs so you might need to find a partner to share the other piece with. -

Comparable to the sound system in the Audi A4 ?

Try Saabster's implementation with the sub. Just as good, if not better than A4! -
My system is definitely comparable with the A4's. How i know is because i too have the A4 to compare with........
Of course like SwedeSport was saying I also have an ext. amp running a basstube and 2 6x9"s
To be honest the A4 sound was clearer than mine until changing the dash speakers.
Now I can't wait to change the center to the RX47
