Opinions About Royal Brunei Airlines?

  Anyone tried Royal Brunei Airlines before? I'm planning a trip to Taipei with BI because of their ongoing promotion. I'm not too fussy about food and service, but if safety becomes an issue I'll have to reconsider my options.

  I heard their service is pretty average, not as good the likes of MH or SQ. Good luck on your trip, how about a trip report just like airliners.net for us ?

  A notch below SQ, but since the factors u mentioned dun affect you. Go for it.

  their service of course not that fantastic, but if you dun mind, then its a pretty ok airline.

  I'll go for it. S$353 for a return ticket to Taipei is too good an offer to miss. Thanks for all the help given. I'll give a field report when I'm back.

  I've purchased tickets from Cathay Pacific instead. Royal Brunei doesn't have daily flights to Taipei so I couldn't fit it into my schedule. Well I guess I'll have to give the extremely good offer a miss. Cathay's a little more expensive than Royal Brunei, but on top of that I've to pay an extra $16 for the HK airport's security tax!

  They quite a solid, reliable airline, fuss-free but not the best in creature comforts.But their planes are not exactly the newest, they operate A319,A320, B757-200 and B767-300ER.
