Tips on flights to London heathrow?

  Hi all,
  
  Was wondering if anyone has any advice or suggestions on whether a direct flight to London is better, or any airlines to recommend?
  
  Am considering SIA cos it's a direct flight, but any opinions on whether it is worth the additional $400 more than other airlines like MAS, Thai Airways, etc which have to transit?

  personally I would go for SQ to save the hassle...unless Emirates offer direct flight, you can check that out.

  i prefer SIA but extra $400 you need to think about it. Check out the others first which you think it is better for you. Each one of us got it's own opinion.

  You can consider Qantas/British Airways, which make four flights to London from Singapore daily between them. All flights are direct to LHR.

  Thank you all for your replies. Hmm... I've currently booked an MAS flight, transit is only less than 2 hours, so I guess it's not too bad. Only pity is that I can't earn my krisflyer miles...
