If 260 kts too slow for you ?

Say I had 2 aircraft (jet) side by side about 20 nm north of mersing.
WSSS Runway 02 in use.
1st aircraft lower , passing FL290 for FL170. - told to keep up high speed for the next 30nm.
2nd aircraft higher, passing FL310 for F190.
Is it appropriate for me to ask the second aircraft to reduce IAS to 260kts. Is that to drastic for a B773 ?
Any comments ?

depends on what speed the first a/c is descending at..
When given "High speed", some aircraft descend at 330IAS or 300IAS, depending on type...
Assigning an a/c 260IAS is not at all bad.. dont forget Singapore restricts all aircraft within 40 NM of SIN to be below 250IAS (and not just below 10,000 ft). -
Yes, you're right.
As you might be aware coming into Changi, you would seldom have to hold in a pattern.
Most of us, would vector traffic to acheive the spacing.
I feel that increases work load of both controllers and pilots.
I feel that speed control is much more effective in attaining spacing.
Your views ? -

juz wondering, for "No PDC" clearances, issit given for all routes out of Changi or just those north east asian flights (HK/China/Japan)?
read on the NOTAM that there's something like a Min M.84 cruise for the nightly european flights now? -
