Thai Airways unveiled more details of its new low-cost carrier, SkyAsia. Airline officials told ATWOnline that fares will be 40% below normal domestic offerings and tickets will be available through 7-Eleven stores. Separately, Thai Airways executives said the airline is looking at acquiring some 747-400s from Star Alliance partner Singapore Airlines in lieu of the collapsed deal with United Airlines for seven aircraft.
