Cabin crew?
Are you joking me?
Their basic pay is very jia-lat, but they fly and can earn up till $4K Singapore Dollar$.
Cabin crew is one of the highest paying stations thru-out the entire group.

jus the bonus itself cannot b more den 12k.
the basic pay for a crew working abt 5 yrs is not more den 1.5k per mth (excluding various allowances).
with a bonus of only 6mths, it should b only abt 6-7k after cpf deduction.

It is still good money, much better than the shit they pay their "lower servants" down the chain of command...
Yup. Seems likes the inevitable is coming closer and closer. First the management, then cabin crew, now pilots, next in line seems to be ground crew. SIAEC has also started VNPL for its staff. All of these seems to be going through the motion for the inevitable.
After the bloody PR mess they made out of the 03 retrenchments, they seem to be choreographing their each and every move to the T for the R day.

It looks as if this had been planned for quite some time already... Well I wouldn't be surprised if that was so~...
SATS is being divested as predicted by F HPH. They seem to being holding onto SIA Cargo and SIAEC for the time being. Any ideas on the bonus for the diff subsidies dis year ?

Actually the divesting of SATS was in the open media since late last year. Though I got to know of it since mid June 08...
SQC and SIAEC is currently holded. Don't be surprised if SIA lets them go earlier than they planned, given the downturn, anything to divest(to earn hard cash) would benefit the company. What looks good on the report books = increase in share price = profits higher than competiting airlines with average portfolio = more purchasing power.
