Nice planes to photograph, real pain in the ass for pilots. I personally like the wing flex during rotation in winter(Finnair at Helsinki Vantaa during winter comes to mind)...
dat's y i hate MD/DC products...
infact i hope that MD/DC sholud be barred in the air...

China Airlines accident in 22 August 1999 bears similarity to this case, including wind-shear as a probable main cause, cartwheeling and inverted aircraft. That accident occurred in typhoon conditions, and this in clear skies/weather.
There were two previous similar such incidents with Fedex's DC/MD10~11... Fedex Flights FX647(Dec 18, 2003) and FX630(July 28, 2006) come to mind... Both were ex DC 10-10 converted to MD 10-10...

Tell that to Biman Bangladesh Airlines. They fly the DC10-30 to Singapore every day... Always plane goes tech... The flight goes in the routing Dhaka-Bangkok-Singapore-Bangkok-Dhaka. My friend last year booked a ticket on Biman from Singapore to Bangkok. Flight was delayed for 12 hrs. Plane had went tech in Dhaka...
Old planes not maintained well = Unreliable planes.

Sidetrack a little... As this is not under jurisdiction of Singapore Aviation(which supposedly does only aviation related to Singapore), please go to Global Civil Aviation to post aviation happenings round the world. Things that might interest you people will be coming up in that forum.
