Kingfisher Airlines (IT) will operate from T3 with effect 16/01/2009 with flight to and fro from Mumbai.Suspect using either Airbus A330 or Boeing 747 fleet as i've seen the AKE baggage containers at the cargo area
Delayed to another timeframe,Economic downturn is the main reason

Kingfisher will be operating A330-200s as they do not operate 747s.

Jet Airways is in millions of dollars of debt rite now... They are leasing their new planes to other airlines(e.g Turkish Airlines and Gulf Air) and might not make it thru... The economic downturn hit India quite bad... Prolly due to deregulation of the Indian Aviation sector, that is why there are so many start-ups... And most of them fail of course... Even Air India(with wholly owned subsidiary Indian Airlines) is not doing much better...

Honestly I won't be surprised if we see a merger between Kingfisher and Jet Airways...
