'Tiger Airways operator was rude and even hung up on me'
Lynn had a frustrating time trying to cancel her Tiger
Airways flight to Bangkok because of one particularly rude customer
service operator. She says:
"I would like to share my frustration and upsetting experience with Tiger Airways.
"I bought an airline ticket from Tiger Airways departing on 15 December.
"After reading the news that Bangkok Airport will not be open till at
least 15 December, I called them on Monday, and tried for 11 hours
before I reached them.
"One of the operators told me if there was no news of further closure,
then I could not change my flight destination. Neither could I get a
refund.
"Today, I called in again after reading the news that said the airport
would be opened within these few days, but the protesters were saying
that they might go back to the airport again.
"I thought it was enough assurance that the flight would be cancelled, and customers could call in to change their destination.
"The operator informed me that I could not do so.
"Ok, so I asked her to check with her management, but she insisted that
there is no way to contact them as all higher management do not have
email addresses and direct lines.
"Can you believe that?
"When I asked for her full name, she said that she did not have a family name.
"I told her I wanted to speak to another operator and she asked me why.
"I told her that she was very rude, and she hung up.
"Is this the correct way to treat customers?
"Or is this the service standard of Tiger Airways?
"I am extremely upset about the bad experience with them.
"Why fly with a budget airline, when they don't care about their customers?"

Budget airline, budget training, budget attitude. Too bad.
they are probably not paid enough to hew too much ...
I thought that Swissport which is appointed ground handling agent was nice.I got no problem with them as i've taken Tiger Airways 3x from BT.Maybe just some misunderstanding or the staff last day of work?
